Description
LOGON is used primarily to log on a process that is to run background jobs.
After the LOGON command is entered, the system displays this prompt:
PROCESS, NAME: |
Enter the number of the process to be assigned to the user, followed by a comma, and the name of the account to be logged on.
If only a carriage return is entered at this prompt, no action is taken.
After the account is logged on, this message displays:
[533] LOGON SUCCESSFUL |
Logging On A Remote User
This example logs the PERSONNEL account on to process 9:
>LOGON PROCESS, NAME : 9,PERSONNEL [533] LOGON SUCCESSFUL > |
The PERSONNEL account is now logged on, and the TCL prompt appears on the terminal linked to process 9.
