To implement program changes without restarting FlashConnect, develop and run your applications in an account other than the WWW account.
To avoid overwriting applications and user-specific files that contain application-specific information, create and run user applications in an account other than WWW, and create a simple installation script which installs or reinstalls the application into the WWW account from the development or production accounts. With this script, an upgrade installs FlashConnect and runs the scripts.
To avoid overwriting applications and user-specific files:
Create a new account (for example, www-apps).
Enable FlashConnect in the new account using one of these methods:
Type WWW-INSTALL from within the WWW account.
Select the Enable FlashConnect On Another Account option from the FlashConnect Main menu.
If you use the menu, respond to the prompts accordingly.
All programs should be written and cataloged in this account.
