The term certified means our Quality Assurance Department and beta sites have conducted rigorous testing of all supported features in a given environment, and have verified proper functionality. Non-certified environments cannot be supported and therefore should not be installed in end-user environments.
A warning will display when attempting to install D3 Windows on a version of Windows that is not certified.
As a server over Windows 2003 Standard and Enterprise editions with Service Pack 2, Windows Server 2008 & 2012, and Windows 7 & Windows 8 Pro.
As a client over Windows Server 2003, 2008 & 2012, Windows 7 & Windows 8 Pro.
D3 Windows is not supported on any Starter or Home edition of Windows or on the base version of Windows 8.
D3 Windows requires that you have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or higher installed on your system. For Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8, it is included in the .NET Framework 3.5 feature.
