Connecting to the Database

Connect to the D3 Database via the VME, D3 File Manager, or the D3 ODBC Client.

Connecting via the VME

Use telnet to connect to the Virtual Machine Environment (VME) and run green screen applications. Select telnet localhost from the D3 Windows menu.

Connecting via the D3 File Manager

The D3 File Manager provides a GUI application for viewing D3 files and starts automatically if you select Launch the Application at the end of the installation.

Connecting via the D3 ODBC Client

To use ODBC connectivity, install the D3 ODBC Client driver on the client system. Go to the ODBC documentation page and navigate to the ODBC driver on the FTP site:
