.hanging tab Command

The .hanging tab command sets a tab stop at the column in the text where it is entered.

.hanging tab {number}

Parameter(s)

number

Specifies the column number that the hanging tab is set to. This number can contain up to two decimal places. If there are X number of spaces specified prior to the .hanging tab command, text is printed that X number of spaces plus one from the left margin. Any text that wraps is also printed that X number of spaces plus one from the left margin.

Description

To reset the margin, place a .hanging tab at the appropriate column position. A number parameter may be entered with the .hanging tab command to set the hanging tab.

produces this output:

Now          is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.

The following example:

.hanging tab 10
