The FileReadvu function returns the attribute specified from the item, from the specified file on the MVSP Server and locks the record.

Parameters

filePath
is the name of the file that you wish to read from
itemId
is the Itemid that you wish to read
attribute
is the attribute to return.

Return Value

a string containing the item that was read

Remarks

If the item could not be read then statuscode and statusmessage properties will be set with the correct error message number and text



Example connects and reads attribute 3 from the record 1 from the CUSTOMERS file.
