C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\TigerLogic\D3\

D3 Program Group

For typical Server installations, these features are included in the D3 Program group:

NOTE

If performing a Custom installation, File Manager, D3 TCL, and D3 FlashBASIC from MS-DOS are not included in the program group if the Utilities feature is cleared in the Custom Setup screen.

Custom

Your choice of these features:

  • A 256 MB Virtual Machine Environment (VME) with 256 ports and 16 phantom ports. Runs green screen applications on a single, centralized system with other PCs running as client-only (see Client setup) using this server from ODBC or SQL.

Sets the VME Service to start manually or automatically when Windows is restarted. Services log on as the Local System Account (unless you specify a user account) and interact with the desktop.

  • The VME server as standalone where it is the MDS Server.

  • The File System Interface (FSI) Server. Serves as the FSI server for the database. Allows multiple VME servers to access centralized data and allows RPC/ODBC incoming requests.

Sets the FSI Service to start manually or automatically when Windows is restarted. Services log on as the Local System Account (unless you specify a user account) and interact with the desktop.

  • Device Manager: Configures VME devices and characteristics.

  • Client: RPC run times. This component is not necessary for ODBC Clients.

  • The D3 Utilities: D3 File Manager, D3 TCL, and running D3 FlashBASIC from MS-DOS.

  • Help: D3 Documentation.

  • MVSP Server

  • Windows Authentication
