Installation Interrupts

Condition

The installation is interrupted before completion. This can occur if a previous installation was cancelled while files were being transferred. When the setup is cancelled during file transfer, a backup folder named:

{xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx}.0

(where xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx is the product code) does not get deleted.

To correct this problem:

  1. Navigate to the Environment Variable Temp directory (%TEMP%).

This folder is usually Z:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Setting\Temp.

NOTE

The location of the Environment Variable Temp directory on your system may differ from the suggested locations above. To determine the location, run the echo %temp% command from a command prompt.

  1. Delete the file named {xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx}.0 (where xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx is the product code).

  2. Restart the D3 Windows installation program.
