set-shutdown-delay command

The set-shutdown-delay command is provided primarily for installations which have disk-caching hard-disk controllers. This provides time for the disk to flush.

For Windows: Not Supported

The delay must be a positive integer between 1 and 65536. Without any parameters, the current shutdown delay displays. The default is 512.

Syntax

set-shutdown-delay {number.seconds} {(options}

Parameter(s)

options s Sets monitor shutdown delay using the shutdown-delay item in the system-config file.
u Updates the shutdown-delay item in the system-config file with the given delay value.

Example(s)

Sets the shutdown delay to five minutes.
