| Hardware Requirements | The primary and secondary servers used in a Hot Backup configuration should be of equal performance and operating systems. |
| Software Requirements | The servers involved in a Hot Backup configuration must be running the same base release of D3, and must be patched to the same level with the latest public patches from Rocket. |
| License Requirements | The D3 servers to be configured as the primary server and the backup server must be licensed for FSI Hot Backup. |
| Service Requirements | The D3 VME services must be configured to logon as a specific user with administrative privileges (Local System account will not suffice). |
