System structure

For the reader who is interested in how the D3 system sees the disk and how it arranges things, here is a look at the disk layout.

  1. Frames
    A frame holds data and system overhead. Considering a frame size of 2048 bytes, 48 bytes are reserved for system use and 2000 are available for data.
