Upgrade requirements

Review the notes below before upgrading.

Upgrading from a D3 Windows pre-10.2 release

Upgrading is not supported from a pre-9.2 release. A full uninstall and install is required. If you are running any release prior to 9.2 (9.1.x or prior), please use the instructions in the Upgrading from version 9.1.2 or earlier topic in the D3 Windows Installation Guide to upgrade to D3 Windows 10.2.

Note:
  • If restoring from a release previous to 9.0, you must recompile your BASIC code if it was previously flash-compiled with the (o option. The (w option may be utilized if source code is not available.

  • If either of the D3VME or D3ODBC services are configured to log on as a specific account, you will need to re-enter and save that account's password in the Log On tab of the service's properties, then manually start or restart the service(s).
