Upgrading with a file-save tape

This section provides instructions for upgrading D3 with a file-save tape.

You can upgrade from:

• An earlier version of D3
• Another D3 platform
• An Advanced Pick system
• An R83 system
• Another Pick compatible environment.

The upgrade installs a new Monitor, ABS, and data files. The user data is restored from the file-save tape by restoring accounts, then selectively restoring required items into the system files.
