Linux packages

This topic includes information about required and optional Linux packages.

The following packages are required for D3Linux to operate correctly:

C Development
The C Development package differs between Linux releases. See the Linux documentation to determine what components are relevant to your installation.
Development Libraries
Printer Support (if using a printer)
Networked Workstation (if you are on a network)
Telnet Servers (from the Legacy Network Server group if using the Telnet services)

Add any other packages as necessary.

Note: Attempting to load some Red Hat third-party packages might produce errors because Rocket does not support these packages. For more information, access the Red Hat Web site at: http://www.redhat.com/ .
