Uniface Messages

Uniface messages have the following severity levels:

• Error messages—an action or event has caused an error in the application, preventing the action or event from continuing.
• Warning messages—an action or event is likely to cause an error in the application, or if data is likely to be lost.
• Information messages—provide feedback on the success or failure of an action or event, and provide information on the status of the application.

Uniface message share the same four-digit numbering scheme. You can use these numbers to refer to the documentation for information on the possible causes and solutions for errors and warnings, and for explanations of information messages.

Messages may be displayed in a pop-up dialog or in the Message Frame.
