Starting and Stopping the Sentinel RMS License Manager on Unix and Linux

To start or stop the RMS License Manager, use these commands:

• On Unix (including Solaris)

  /etc/init.d/rms start

  /etc/init.d/rms stop

• On Linux, if your system uses systemd:

  systemctl start rms

  systemctl stop rms

• On AIX:

  InstallationDirectory/rms.sh start

  InstallationDirectory/rms.sh stop

Note: For cloud-served licenses, these commands start and stop both the RMS License Manager and the Cloud Plug-in at the same time and in the correct order.

When starting the RMS License Manager, you should see the following output:

The RMS license server is running.
