Developing Desktop Applications

Enterprise desktop applications are distributed client/server applications—they allow users to retrieve and maintain data in a remote database using a locally-run application. Desktop applications are usually highly interactive, and provide a much faster response time than most web applications.

By default, Uniface desktop applications are Windows applications, but it is also possible to maintain character mode applications on any supported platform.
