A powerful features of the Web-to-Host Wizard is its ability to import existing site and
launch pages made by earlier BlueZone Web-to-Host Wizards. You can import BlueZone Web-to-Host
sites that were made as far back as version 3.3.
This procedure assumes that the existing Web-to-Host sites that you want to import are
located on a Microsoft platform and the Web-to-Host 7.1 Wizard is installed on the same server.
- Start the Web-to-Host Wizard.
-
If you do not see your old sites, click Import in the Sites window.
-
Browse to your old BlueZone Web-to-Host installation.
- Select a site folder and click Open.
- Click OK to confirm the import.
After the site is finished importing, the Web-to-Host Wizard automatically opens the
Launch Folders window. The importation process is complete and the site is now ready to be
administered with the Web-to-Host Wizard.
- On the Launch Folders window, all of the launch pages from
the imported site display as launch folders.
The Web-to-Host Wizard also imports two folders from your previous
installation: default and desktop.
These launch folders are no longer needed and can be deleted.
- Select a launch folder and click Next.
All of the sessions for the selected launch folder are
displayed.
- On the Sessions window, an Overrides button
is located to the right of the Delete button.
This button provides backward compatibility with previous versions
of the Web-to-Hot Wizard.
There is no need to change any values in the Overrides window.
You can continue to use the overrides feature just as you did in
the previous versions of the Web-to-Host Wizard.
- Click Next two times to advance
to the Test Launch Folders window where you can select and test each
launch folder.
- If you are running the Web-to-Host Wizard on a Microsoft
platform with IIS enabled, you can use the IIS web server or you can
use the built-in web server to do your testing.
Note: If you attempt to enable the built-in web server and you
receive the following message:
Unable to start the Web
server on the selected port. That port is in use. Please select another
port or close the conflicting application. There
is a web server already running on port 80. Use a different port,
for example 8080, and try again.
- To test the launch folder, click Test BlueZone.
- To test additional launch folders, select a folder from
the Launch Folder menu and click Test
BlueZone. You can test all of your launch folders from
this page without having to go back and select each launch folder
from the Launch Folders window.
Note: To import multiple Web-to-Host sites, repeat the import
process for each site. If any of your existing Web-to-Host sites
have duplicate names, you must rename them with unique names before
importing them into the new Web-to-Host Wizard.
