Configuring BlueZone Web-to-Host to work with Internet Explorer

This is relevant when you are using the ActiveX Web-to-Host Control Module, not the Web Start method for BlueZone session deployment.

In order for BlueZone Web-to-Host to run using Internet Explorer on Windows with User Account Control (UAC) and Protected Mode enabled, you will need to add the URL of the BlueZone Web-to-Host server to the Trusted Site list in Internet Explorer:

To add the URL of the BlueZone Web-to-Host server to the Trusted Site list in Internet Explorer:
  1. Click ToolsInternet Options and select the Security tab.
  2. In the zone pane, select the Trusted Sites zone.
  3. Ensure that the Enable Protected Mode checkbox is unchecked.
  4. Click the Sites button.
  5. Add the DNS name of the BlueZone Web-to-Host server.
  6. Click Close and OK.
Internet Explorer Administrative templates and Group Policy can be used to add sites to the trusted list automatically.
