The Overrides Button appears on the Sessions Page of the BlueZone Web-to-Host Wizard. The
Override feature allows you to override the information in the Object Tag, change the host IP
address, and configure BlueZone sessions without a particular session number.
After you have created a BlueZone session, if you click the Overrides button, a dialog will
appear containing the following fields:
- Description
- Connection Name
- Host Address
- Port
- LU Name
- Prompt?: When this box is selected, the user will be prompted to
enter an LU Name, Device Name, or Answerback Name depending on the type of emulation session.
On subsequent sessions, the user will continue to be prompted, but the name the user entered
will be retained.
Sessions that support the
Prompt? feature are:
- Mainframe Display - LU Name
- Mainframe Printer - LU Name
- iSeries Display - Device Name
- iSeries Printer - Device Name
- VT Display - Answerback Name
- Session ID: Select a number 1 through 99 in the Session
ID drop-down list to assign a specific session number for this session.
Note: This
feature is often used when BlueZone sessions are being launched in conjunction with a BlueZone
Automation script. For example, the script writer can write the script to connect to session
8. If the BlueZone WTH Administrator assigns the session ID of 8, then the script will only
connect to this session.
- Sx?: Select the "Sx?" check box to assign session numbers at the time
of launch. When enabled, the sessions will be numbered in the order that they were launched
(the first session will be S1, the second session will be S2, and so on). The next time these
sessions are launched, they may have different session numbers if they are launched in a
different order.
Note: This feature is often used by when BlueZone sessions are being launched
in conjunction with a BlueZone Automation script.
