Local launch feature

The local launch feature allows users to start their configured BlueZone host sessions when the BlueZone Web-to-Host web server is not available.

Network problems or web server failure can make the BlueZone Web-to-Host web server unavailable. When this happens, users can use the local launch feature to access the host systems they need.

To operate the local launch feature, you must make the following selections while configuring the Advanced Settings page in the Web-to-Host Wizard.

In the Web-to-Host section:
- In the Launch Method tab, clear the Allow Protected Mode check box.
- In the Options tab, select the Place launcher icon on desktop check box.
If you are using a web browser with Web Start, select Create desktop shortcut in the Browser Config section.

End users must launch their sessions using the desktop shortcut that gets created. The desktop shortcut contains the command line that launches the session locally if the web server is down.
