Configuring Hebrew language support

You can configure your Mainframe and iSeries display and printer sessions to support Hebrew language characters.

Prerequisites

Before configuring Hebrew language support in BlueZone, you must first enable a Hebrew keyboard input language in Microsoft Windows. For more information on changing the Windows language and keyboard layout, consult Microsoft Support.

Procedure

  1. Launch a Mainframe or iSeries Display session.
  2. To configure the emulation settings, perform the following steps:
    1. From the menu bar, click SessionConfigure.
    2. Click the 3270 Emulation tab.
    3. In the Language (CCSID) list box, set the language to Hebrew (424).
    4. Click OK to close the Session Configuration window.
  3. To configure the display settings, perform the following steps:
    1. From the menu bar, click OptionsDisplay.
    2. In the Font tab, click the Change button.
    3. In the Font window, select Courier New.
    4. In the Script list box, select Hebrew, and click OK.
    5. Click OK to close the Display Options window.
  4. When configuration is complete, disconnect and re-connect the session to the host system.
