Virtual keyboard

Use the virtual keyboard to perform operations without a physical keyboard. Open the virtual keyboard by selecting View Keyboard

Using the virtual keyboard

The virtual keyboard's key mappings match those of the physical keyboard. Go to OptionsKeyboard to configure key mappings.

To use a modifier key (for example Shift, Alt, or Ctrl), you can either hold that key on the physical keyboard or click the key on the virtual keyboard. When you click a modifier key on the virtual keyboard, it turns blue to indicate that the key is engaged. Click the modifier key again to disengage.

Unless mapped to another function, standard alphanumeric and modifier keys display on the virtual keyboard with the character that the key sends to the host. Mapped keys display on the virtual keyboard with their key mapping.

If you make and save changes to key mappings in the Keyboard Options dialog, the virtual keyboard updates to reflect the new key mapping.
