Updating the Software Activation File

If your BlueZone Web-to-Host evaluation has expired or if you are converting your BlueZone Web-to-Host installation to a licensed version, you must update your Software Activation File (SAF).

The Web-to-Host Wizard has a licensing feature that copies the new SAF to each site that you created.

  1. Locate your SAF, which was sent as an email attachment to you or the person who ordered BlueZone. This email would have been sent from BlueZone Software Activation. The name of the file is either seagull.saf or bzallwin.saf.
Note: Because of future products, it is possible that your SAF can have a different name.
  2. Copy the SAF to an easy to remember location on your hard drive.
  3. Open the Web-to-Host Wizard.
  4. Click License.
  5. Browse to the location of your SAF.
  6. Select the file and click Open.
A message opens asking you to confirm the overwriting of the existing file located in your site folder.
  7. Click OK.
If you have more than one site, a confirmation message opens for each site. Click OK for each site.

A final confirmation message opens for the SAF located in your Wizard installation directory.

Note: From this point on, all new sites that you create using the BlueZone Web-to-Host Wizard use the new SAF.
The next time each user accesses BlueZone Web-to-Host, the new SAF is automatically downloaded.
