Controlling protected mode

By default, all object tags are created with protected mode allowed.

If you have User Access Control (UAC) enabled in the Internet and intranet zones and your users have protected mode enabled in their browsers, it is recommended to leave protected mode enabled for BlueZone.

If you have User Access Control disabled and your users do not have protected mode enabled in their browsers, it is recommended to disable protected mode for BlueZone.

To change the protected mode setting:

  1. Start the Web-to-Host Wizard.
  2. Select a site and click Next.
  3. Select a launch folder and click Next.
  4. In the Sessions window, click Next.

Note: If you are configuring for embedded mode, you must turn off protected mode and the launch folder can only contain one session. Refer to Configuring embedded deployment mode for more information.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Next.
  9. In the Test Launch Folders window, test your changes.
  10. When finished, click Home to return to the Sites window or Quit to exit the Wizard.
