Control file location

You can control where your users’ configuration files are saved.

Using standard Web-to-Host or embedded deployment mode

If you are using either standard Web-to-Host or embedded deployment mode, there are two options for the file location:
  • Default: Installs the BlueZone working files in the user's Windows personal folder and the BlueZone program files in the BlueZone temp directory.
  • Optional: Installs all of the BlueZone working and program files in the BlueZone temp directory.

The BlueZone temp directory is a temporary directory that is automatically created by the Web-to-Host Control Module on the user’s computer. The temporary folder location for all current Windows operating systems is: C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Temp\BlueZone\<BZVERSION>.

Using served desktop deployment mode

If you are using served desktop deployment mode, you can control the exact location where BlueZone Web-to-Host installs the BlueZone program and working files. The option to use the user's Windows personal folder to store BlueZone's working files is also available.

To change the file location in served desktop mode, you must manually configure the default.ini file. The Wizard does not support this configuration. Refer to Controlling file location in served desktop deployment mode for more information.
