Welcome to the Rocket BlueZone Secure FTP User’s Guide. BlueZone Secure FTP provides secure file transfers to and from virtually all FTP hosts, including IBM mainframe, IBM iSeries, UNIX, and other FTP hosts. BlueZone Secure FTP has an easy to use Windows GUI and is encrypted with SSL (Secure Sockets Layer).
BlueZone Secure FTP can be installed as a stand-alone application or as part of the BlueZone Desktop or BlueZone Web-to-Host installation. BlueZone Desktop and BlueZone Web-to-Host share identical look, feel, and features, providing a consistent interface for internal users using BlueZone Desktop and external web users using BlueZone Web-to-Host.
The primary difference between the products is the method of delivery to the users desktop. BlueZone Desktop is installed like any desktop application or it can be installed through a web browser. BlueZone Web-to-Host is delivered and updated through a web browser with virtually no user intervention. Throughout this help system, all references to BlueZone can be assumed to be applicable to both BlueZone Desktop and BlueZone Web-to-Host unless otherwise noted.
Users who have BlueZone Secure FTP delivered through their web browser might not have access or have been granted the authority to make changes to their configurations. All of the features listed in this guide are available to users of BlueZone Secure FTP delivered through the web and can be granted on a user, group, or global basis.
