Updating the Software Activation File
Software Activation File update: It may be necessary during your evaluation to update your Seagull Software Activation File (SAF) file. The Web-to-Host Wizard has a licensing feature that copies the new SAF file to each site that you have created.
Configuration method: Web-to-Host Wizard
Feature scope: Site-level feature
If your BlueZone Web-to-Host evaluation has expired or if you are converting your BlueZone Web-to-Host installation to a licensed version, you must update your SAF.
1. Locate your SAF, which was sent as an e-mail attachment to you or the person who ordered BlueZone. This e-mail would have been sent from BlueZone Software Activation. The name of the file is either seagull.saf or bzallwin.saf.
Note
Because of future products, it is possible that your SAF file can have a different name.
2. Copy the SAF file to an easy to remember location on your hard drive.
3. Launch the Web-to-Host Wizard.
4. On the Sites page, click License.
A Windows file dialog displays allowing you to browse to the location of your SAF file.
5. When you have located your SAF file, click Open.
A message box displays asking you to confirm the overwriting of the existing file located in your site folder.
6. Click OK.
If you have more than one site, a confirmation message box displays for each one. Click OK for each site.
A final confirmation message box displays for the SAF file located in your Wizard installation directory.
Note
From this point on, any new site that you create using the BlueZone Web-to-Host Wizard uses the new SAF file.
The next time each user accesses BlueZone Web-to-Host, the new SAF is automatically downloaded.
