As previously discussed, in the high level overview, the purpose of BlueZone Web-to-Host is to provide an easy way to distribute
BlueZone emulation clients to a wide number of users.
When deploying BlueZone Web-to-Host in the standard deployment mode, the BlueZone administrator can choose to allow or not
allow their users to make and save their own BlueZone configuration settings. The majority of BlueZone customers choose to
allow their users to make and save their own BlueZone configuration settings (for example, screen size and position, screen
background color, font colors, keyboard mapping, etc.).
However, it is important that BlueZone Web-to-Host has a mechanism to prevent the accidental overwriting of user configuration
files. You do not want your BlueZone administrator to accidentally overwrite all your users’ main BlueZone configuration
files. That can leave you with thousands of unhappy users. The BlueZone Web-to-Host control module is designed to overwrite
certain types of files, like program files and sub-configuration files, but never to overwrite the main BlueZone configuration
files.
In summary, you can upgrade BlueZone program files without overwriting your users’ configuration settings.
