Starting with BlueZone version 5.1, the Seagull Web-to-Host control module has been changed to the BlueZone Web-to-Host control
module. Also, the signing certificate used to sign all controls and applications has been changed from Seagull Software Systems,
Inc. to Rocket Software, Inc.
This means that any users who have trusted the Seagull Software issued controls, which makes the Security Warning dialogs
that ask the user if they trust the issuer go away, now see the "do you trust" Security Warning dialog again. This could
cause some concern or confusion among your users, especially if you have been using BlueZone for a long time, your users may
have forgotten that these security warnings when installing new versions, are normal.
To make the Security Warming dialogs go away permanently as before, instruct your users to click More Options on the Security Warning dialog before installing the new BlueZone Web-to-Host control module. When this button is clicked,
the user is given the opportunity to select the Always install software from Rocket Software, Inc. radio button. Once selected, they can now install the control.
In the future, when you upgrade BlueZone Web-to-Host by placing a new BlueZone Web-to-Host control module and new BlueZone
emulator CAB files on your web server, any users who have selected Always install software from Rocket Software, Inc. receive the upgraded files, but do not see any Security Warming dialogs.
Administrator approved controls
Starting with version 5.1, a new version of the ActiveX Web-to-Host MSI Installer (Web2Host.msi) is provided. Just like above, this new version is called BlueZone Web-to-Host control module and is signed by Rocket Software,
Inc.
Customers that have deployed the Seagull Web-to-Host control module, must uninstall the Seagull Web-to-Host control module
first before deploying the BlueZone Web-to-Host control module. This is because the Web2Host.msi does not contain an uninstall feature.
The web2Host.msi is located on the BlueZone CD image in the BlueZone Desktop\Web2Host\msi folder.
