Before version 4.2, the product name was SEAGULL License Manager. It was installed in a completely different location with
different registry keys than the current BlueZone License Manager.
Therefore, it is not possible to upgrade, nor is it necessary to upgrade your previous version. Instead, stop the SEAGULL
License Manager service, and install BlueZone License Manager. Use the same registration key that you used with your SEAGULL
License Manager.
The following upgrade procedure guides you through the process of retrieving your license key form the SEAGULL License Manager
and upgrading to the new BlueZone License Manager.

If the SEAGULL License Manager is not running, start it now. |

On the License Manager menu bar, click . The License Information box opens.
|

3. |
Copy the License Key from this edit box to the Windows clipboard (CTRL-C). |

Click OK to close the dialog. |

Insert the BlueZone CD-ROM into your CD drive. The BlueZone DemoShield launches and the Welcome to BlueZone screen appears.

Click Server Components. |

Click BlueZone License Manager to start the installation process. The BlueZone License Manager installation wizard opens.

Click Next. The BlueZone Licensing Agreement dialog opens.

Select accordingly and click Next. The Destination Folder dialog displays.

Click Change to make any desired changes to the location where the BlueZone License Manager is installed (we recommend using the default
values). |

Paste your License into the editbox from the Windows Clipboard (CTRL-V). |

Click Next. The Ready to Install the Program dialog opens.

Click Install. The installation wizard installs the License Manager. When the installation is complete, you receive a message that the installation
was completed successfully.

Launching License Manager

Once you have completed the BlueZone License Manager installation, start the BlueZone License Manager by clicking .

When the BlueZone License Manager launches, the BlueZone License Manager service is not running. Start the service by clicking
the Start Server icon located on the toolbar.
Note By default, the BlueZone License Manager service is set to Automatic. So if the BlueZone License Manager server is ever restarted, the BlueZone License Manager service automatically starts.
You can verify this by opening Windows Services and locating the BlueZone License Manager Service and verifying that the Startup Type is set to Automatic.
