Modifying connection properties
Follow the steps below to modify your connection properties.
1. |
Click the Connection tab to view the settings for an HTTP or a TCP/IP connection. |
2. |
In the Operation Mode panel, select:
• |
Object Menu to replace the menu bar of an application container (other than Internet Explorer) with that of the ActiveX Display control
object. For example, if you open the ActiveX Display control in a Visual Basic container, the menu bar will change to that
of the ActiveX Display control.
• |
Auto Save to automatically save the changes that you make to the ActiveX Display properties. These changes are saved in the default
configuration file. If you do not check this checkbox, your modifications will be saved to the default ActiveX Display configuration file HFVTDSP.CFG.
• |
Auto Connect to automatically connect the ActiveX Display control to the server the moment you instantiate the ActiveX Display control.
3. |
Click on the Advanced button to configure your Connection mode settings. The following window opens. |
4. |
In the Connection mode panel, you have the following options:
• |
SSL Secure checkbox to encrypt the data between the ActiveX Display control and the host. Checking this box will have no impact on the Persistent connection and vice versa.
• |
Persistent checkbox to establish a TCP/IP connection between the ActiveX Display control and the host. Leave this checkbox unchecked
to establish a non-persistent HTTP connection.
• |
RSA: If you are using an RSA SecurID server, the check box is selected. This check box is available only in read-only mode from
this interface. You can enable or disable the RSA checkbox by editing the HTML page. You will then be able to use your RSA
authentication to connect to the server.
