1. | Click the Passthrough Setup tab to define the type of characters to signal a passthrough command to the host. |
2. | Select the Enable Passthrough Printing checkbox to allow you to define how the host will recognize a passthrough command. Before enabling passthrough printing, make sure you define the default printer font in the Compatible fonts drop-down list box in the Page Setup tab. If you do not define this default font, the printer uses it's own default font.

3. | Select the character that signals a passthrough command from the Passthrough character drop-down list. The printer requires this character to appear at the beginning and the end of the print job. |
4. | Select the type of character to signal the Printer Escape Character.

5. | Select the Translate host printable data to ASCII checkbox to convert the host data into ASCII format. |
