Configuring printer direct printing properties

When selecting Direct printing (in the Passthrough tab), the printer ActiveX passes the print job as is to the printer along with some initialization commands that can be defined in the Direct Printing Options section. This feature would be helpful in cases like printing cheques where the print job is already formatted on the host and you are using a dot-matrix printer and need to add some controls.

Follow the steps below to configure your printer direct printing properties.

Click the Passthrough Setup tab to define the Direct Printing options you want to use.

Select the Direct Printing checkbox to enable the feature.

In the Property drop down list, you can select the type of command you want to send to the printer and enter its value in the Value box below. There are three options available: Initialization String, Termination String and Form Feed.
