Configuring page properties
Follow the steps below to configure your page properties when using the Arabic language.
1. Click the Page Setup tab to select the format of the print page.

Changing these parameters can affect the final results of your print job. Check with your system administrator before making any changes in the Page tab.
2. Select the number of characters per inch from the Char per Inch (CPI) drop-down list. You can let the host assign this value for each print job or you can select a fixed number of characters per inch.
•  The HOST selection lets the host control the number of characters per inch.

•  The numbers (3 to 22) allow you to define a static number of character per inch.

6. Select the font you want to print with from the Compatible Fonts drop-down list. In the Arabic language client you have two choices:
•  Farabi — this True-Type font allows you to print bilingual jobs regardless of whether your printer supports Arabic characters or not. It allows you to print bilingual XBASIC data directly on your PC printer.
♦  We recommend using the Farabi True Type font to print Arabic but you may use your default printer font if it supports Arabic characters.
♦  The Farabi font is useful when printing with a laser printer since it can recognize the text easily. If you are using a dot-matrix printer, the print job may take longer to print because the printer accepts the job as a graphic rather than text.
•  Printer Default — your printer determines the font settings for the print job, allowing you to use any printer-resident fonts (Arabic) and pre-programmed printer commands.
7. The Current Selection panel displays the Font name, the Font style, and the Font size according to the current characters per inch, lines per inch, and margins set in this dialog box.
8. Type the margins that define the host printable area in the Left, Right, Top, and Bottom fields. Make sure that the margins set here conform with the print margins of your printer.
Select the inch or cm radio button to choose between inch and centimeter scale units.
