The ActiveX File Transfer client uses an interface similar to that of Windows Explorer for transferring files between a host
and the PC. You can select one or many host files and/or members to download to your PC.
When you download a host file and/or member to your PC, you must:
• |
select the file format option (ASCII or Binary)
• |
select the host file(s) and/or member(s) If you only select a file, the Host uses the first member in that file as the source member.
• |
click the Download button or drag the PC file to the host
To download a file from the host to your PC, follow these steps:
1. |
Expand the directory tree on the Host files panel on the ActiveX FTP control and select the member you wish to transfer. |
2. |
Expand the directory tree in the PC Files panel and select the file you wish to overwrite with the contents of the Host member.
3. |
Start transferring the file. You have two choices:
• |
Drag the host file from the Host panel to the target PC file in the PC Files panel. |
• |
With both PC and Host files selected (see Step 1 and Step 2), click the Download button on the toolbar.
♦ |
Click Yes to overwrite the PC file/FDF file.
♦ |
Click No to cancel the transfer.
4. |
You can click Cancel at any time to terminate the file transfer. Once the transfer is complete, the contents of your transferred file should appear on the PC in the file you specified.
