Exchange files with the Mainframe
BlueZone Access Server (and HostFront) includes a 32-bit file-transfer capability that is compatible with IBM Send/Receive
(IND$FILE under VM/CMS, MVS/TSO, CICS), the industry standard for PC-mainframe file transfer. You can upload and download
files from the host easily and quickly. There's no need to learn complex IND$FILE command syntax; file transfers are as easy
as opening a menu.
You can initiate as many File Transfer Requests as there are available Display sessions.
Before you can begin sending or receiving files with the host, you need to create a File Transfer Request profile. This profile
defines the environment you are using and how the host and PC manage the data being transferred.
If you define a profile for each type of environment you are using (CICS, CMS, or TSO), all you need to change is the file
information for the file you are uploading or downloading in the ActiveX File Transfer For Mainframe dialog box.
