VBScript permission error
Symptoms: When you access the Web Manager for the first time, you receive the following VBScript permission error:
Error Type:
Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A0046)
Permission denied
/swm/system/functions.asp, line 398
Resolving the problem: It's possible that you don't have the proper access permissions set on your server.
1. Browse with Explorer (not Internet Services Manager) to the folder where you just installed the SEAGULL Web Manager.
2. Right-click on the folder and click Properties.
3. Click the Security tab. What you see next depends on how much the owner of this system has customized the security settings.
4. Locate the account named Everyone. If there is no Everyone then locate an account named User.
5. Highlight the account and look in the Permissions section. There are six check boxes.
6. Remote users must have the ability to write to files on the web server. Check the Write box and clear the Allow inheritable from parent to propagate to this object box.
7. Click Apply. A message box appears.
8. Click Remove.
9. Click Apply.
If there is no User account or if you do not want to give write permission to all users, you can add the Internet user account to this folder and give this account Write permission. Be sure to propagate the permissions to the children folders (folders below this level).
