Symptoms: Web Manager is installed and you can access the Host Access Login screen, but when you attempt to log in, you receive the
following error:
The page cannot be displayed message - HTTP 500 - Internal server error.
Resolving the problem: Ensure that the
Enable parent paths check box checked on the
Options tab of the Application Configuration window. Without this check box checked, IIS cannot resolve the relative links used
in the Web Manager Application.
To enable the Enable parent paths check box, follow this procedure:
1. |
Launch the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. |
2. |
Expand the tree to show all the web sites. |
3. |
Locate the web site under which Web Manager is installed. |
4. |
Right-click on the web site and select Properties. The web site’s properties window displays.
5. |
Select the Home Directory tab.
6. |
Click Configuration, then the Options tab. The Application Configuration window displays.
7. |
Check the Enable parent paths check box.
8. |
Click the OK twice to close both windows.
