Managing keyboards
Host Access Manager (HAM) allows you to create new keyboard profiles and to assign them to the available languages.
To start the keyboard management tool:
1. Right-click on the cluster name in the cluster tree in the left pane and select Keyboard management.
The following dialog box opens:

2. Use the Language mapping tab to manage the languages, keyboards and their assignments as well as assigning the default for all users.
a. The Language drop-down menu contains all the supported languages. If you work with a specific language you should first select it from this list.
b. The Available keyboard profiles section displays all the keyboard profiles that are in the database and that are not currently assigned to the selected language.
c. The Mapped keyboard profiles section displays all the keyboard profiles that are currently mapped to the selected language.
d. Use > to map a selected available keyboard profile to the selected language (move it to the Mapped list).
e. Use < to remove a mapped keyboard profile from the selected language (move it to the Available list).
f. Use << to remove all the keyboards mapped to the selected language.
Note that a language setting cannot be functional without at least one mapped keyboard profile. If you want to make a language available to your user, you must have at least one keyboard profile mapped to it.
g. To set a language and keyboard as the default for all users, select the language from the Language list, select the keyboard mapping you want for that language from the Mapped keyboard profiles list and then click Set as default.
Note that you can still change the language settings for any individual group or user.
3. Use the Keyboards tab to manage the keyboard profiles and to import and export them from the database in order to edit them.

a. To rename a keyboard profile, select it from the Keyboard profiles list and click Rename. You can then edit the keyboard profile name in its location in the list.
b. Click Delete to delete the selected keyboard profile from the available keyboard profiles.
c. Click Import to import an existing keyboard profile created using the Keyboard Editor. This opens a standard Open dialog box.
d. If you want to change the key mappings in a certain keyboard profile, you can either:
•  Select it from the list and then click Edit. This opens the Keyboard Editor with that profile. Once you have finished changing the mappings, click Save in Keyboard Editor and close it. The file is automatically updated in the profile database.
•  Select it from the list then click Export. This opens a standard Save As dialog box where you can save the keyboard profile anywhere on your disk. You can then open the Keyboard Editor, open the file you just saved, edit it, save it and import it back again.
You can start the Keyboard Editor separately from the Tools menu by selecting Keyboard Editor.
