You can access the import tool through the menu in the Host Access Manager. The import tool toll will prompt you for the following information:
|
1. |
Location of the older profile file. |
|
2. |
Emulation type of the older profile product (3270, 5250, VT). |
|
3. |
SQL server connection parameters (IP address, port and authentication credentials). |
|
4. |
Cluster database name (must have been already created on the SQL server provided in point 3). |
|
5. |
After clicking the import button, you will also be prompted for the folder where you have your old keyboard profile files
to imported as well. |
The import tool will migrate all the information from the older profile excluding license keys. When prompted for the location
of the keyboard profiles, you can skip this step if you do not have any custom keyboard profile to import. During the import
process, you will be prompted to enter a new key for every registered old key you have in the old profile (a registered key
is one that is covered by annual maintenance contract). SEAGULL will provide the new license keys as part of the upgrade package
you will get under the maintenance contract
You will be prompted with the result of the migration when it is completed. The process time depends on the size of your older
profile. Once the import is completed, you need to add a server entry and add a cluster service entry and then start your
cluster.
