The Host Access Manager (HAM) is a comprehensive management tool for both the HostFront cluster and the BlueZone Access Server
Cluster system. It allows you to perform all configuration, management and troubleshooting tasks that you need in order to
control the cluster.
Specifically, it allows you to:

Create new configuration items (keys, hosts, servers, cluster services, groups, users and sessions) |

Troubleshoot tasks (starting traces, logs) |
BlueZone Access Server and HostFront Server version 5.2 are highly reliable web-to-host access and e-business development platforms for the IBM AS/400, IBM Mainframe, and UNIX hosts,
and they provide access and integration through a variety of clients.
The BlueZone Access Server provides emulation access only (display, printer and file transfer) while the HostFront Server
provide access to the host through the HostFront integration components. Both servers are managed through one management
tool, the Host Access Manager. The Host Access Manager allows you to create the cluster database for either type of server
(BlueZone or HostFront) and manage both clusters from the same user interface.
An emulation access is obtained by way of a small ActiveX control that downloads to MS Internet Explorer web browser to establish
a non-persistent HTTP(S) connection or a persistent TCP/IP socket-based connection to a BlueZone Access Server. Integration
access is obtained by writing code that uses the integration components of HostFront Server.
The servers can connect to legacy hosts as follows:

Directly to Telnet servers (TN3270, TN3270E, TN5250, TN5250E, VT100). The Telnet servers can be on the hosts or on an external
device (such as a Cisco router or Microsoft Host Integration Server configured as a TN3270 server).

Indirectly to IBM legacy systems through the Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000/2004 using SNA or IP-DLC. |
