Using the HTML Pages Editing Wizard
The wizard guides you through the following steps:
1. When you start the wizard, the Welcome Screen opens. Click Next to continue.
The Select HTML Page Source window opens.
2. Selecting the source of your page:
•  From the database
•  From server
This step allows you to get a page from the database (if previously saved there) or from a cluster service machine in the cluster.
a. If you select From the database, the Load From Database window opens.
Select one of the pages already saved in the database to continue to edit it. You can also delete pages by highlighting the page and clicking Remove.
Click Next.
b. If you select From servers, the Load From Server window opens.
Enter the following information:
•  From the Server List drop-down menu, select the cluster service.
•  In the Page Name field, type the name of the HTML page.
•  In Connection Type pane, select the appropriate radio button.
Click Next.
3. After selecting the page you that want to edit in the previous step, the page opens in a simple text editing window. Edit the HTML page as needed.
4. When you are done editing, click Next to save the page file in the database. The wizard next step will look as follows:
The Save HTML Page window opens.
5. In the Save the page as field, type a name or description of the file.
6. Click Next.
The Finish window opens.
7. Select one of the available options:
•  Select Finish to end the wizard. Click Next.
•  Select Back to work on another page to return to the first step of the wizard to select another page. Click Next.
•  Select Propagate the page to all servers to send the edited page to all of the machines in the cluster where that page exists. The new copy that you edited will replace the existing copies on the cluster machines. If you select this option, the Save HTML Page window opens.
a. In the Propagate the HTML page as field, type the file name that you want to replace in the target machines.
b. In the Connection Type section, select the appropriate connection type: 3270, 5250, or VT.
c. Click Next.
The wizard sends the page to all of cluster service machines in the cluster to be copied under the selected emulation folder with the given file name. If a file with the same name already exists, it will be replaced without prompting. If the file does not exist, it will be created.
Note
The wizard will propagate the page to all of the machines and you do not have the choice to send the page only to one server. This is done because the HTML pages must be the same on all of the machines. By propagating to all of the machines the wizard can guarantee that the pages are identical on all of servers.
After propagating a page, you have the option to either finish the wizard or go back to work on another page.
