You can modify your keyboard profile at any time during your session. You can map functions to new keys, change existing map
assignments, or link a new keyboard profile to the environment.
To modify your keyboard profile:

Right-click the desired cluster name and select Keyboard Management. |

In the Keyboard Management window, select the Keyboards tab and select the keyboard profile that you want to modify. |

Click Export to export the keyboard profile from the database to your drive. |
|
4. |
Close the Keyboard Management window. |
|
5. |
In HAM, select and then the emulation type. |
|
6. |
In the Keyboard Editor, select and open the file you saved in the Export operation. |
|

At any time during this keyboard session, you can clear the key assignments using the following buttons:

Reset: Resets the key’s command to what was previously saved.
|
|
• |
Clear: Clears the key’s command from the key.
|
|
• |
Clear All: Clears all of the key commands from all the key.
|
Important There is no undo function for these keys. If you lose information mapped to the keys, you will have to reassign them manually
or reload the keyboard profile.

Select the type of command you want to assign from the Type list box. For a description of the different Types, see Creating a Keyboard Profile. |

If you want to use a key combination for the function, select one or more of the Modifiers check boxes. If you select a modifier key, you must use that modifier key in addition to the key you select on the keyboard.
For example, if you select the Shift and Alt check boxes, you must press Shift and Alt before you pressing the key to access the function.
Note Do not assign functions to the standard or shift positions of alphabetic keys; this erases your lower and upper case alphabetic
characters. Only assign functions to these keys using the Ctrl or Alt keys

Click the key to which you want to assign the command. |

Click Assign or right-click on the key. The keyboard editor assigns the selected command to the selected key. |

Select or use the Save button on the toolbar. |

If you want to open another keyboard profile to edit, follow these same steps. If you open another keyboard profile, the current
profile closes automatically. You cannot open more than one keyboard profile at a time. Select or click the Open button on the toolbar. Select the profile you want to modify and click OK. |
When you are finished making changes to the keyboard profiles and you want to exit the Keyboard Editor, select .
If you try to exit the application without saving your changes, the Keyboard Editor prompts you to save the modified keyboard
profile.

Click Yes to save the changes to the current keyboard profile.

Click No to exit without saving the changes.
|

Click Cancel to return to Keyboard Editor.
