The auto sign on feature allows Host Access Manager users to automatically sign on to the cluster database upon opening Host
Access Manager instead of having to provide the user ID and password every time.
Note
The auto sign on feature is configurable on a cluster basis. If are managing more than one cluster in one HAM, you must define
the auto sign on parameter for every cluster independently.
Follow the steps below to enable auto sign on:
|
1. |
In the left pane, right-click on the cluster name and select Auto Sign on. If you do not have a cluster name added, you need first to add a cluster definition. |
|
2. |
In the left pane, right-click again on the cluster name and select Sign on to Cluster. If you are currently signed on, sign off and then sign on again. |
|
3. |
If you are using a user ID/password, type in the information and then select the information that you want HAM to remember
for your next sign on (user name only or user name and password). |
|
4. |
If you are using Windows domain account, select the Use Windows Domain to sign on check box. You do not need to provide any other information in this case. |
|
6. |
Click Save in the HAM toolbar to make sure this configuration is saved. |
|
7. |
If you select to save both user name and password or if you selected to use a Windows domain account, the next time you start
HAM, it will sign you on to that cluster automatically. |
To stop using the auto sign on feature, in the left pane right-click on the cluster name and select Auto Sign on to clear the check box and then click Save in the HAM toolbar.
