Obtain the setup properties using Internet Explorer
BlueZone Access Server
Since the ActiveX controls store their profiles on disk, Internet Explorer downloads the installation information at the same time as the ActiveX control the first time you connect to your BlueZone Access Server.
When you launch a display or printer session through the ActiveX startup page, Internet Explorer retrieves the connection information from the HTML page and stores it in the ActiveX control profiles.
If you need to configure the ActiveX controls manually, you must obtain the following information from your BlueZone Access Server administrator:
•  HTTP port number
The BlueZone Access Server panel contains the HTTP Port and the name of BlueZone Access Server as listed in the ActiveX URL.
♦  The default port for a web Server is 80 although this value can change. The name of BlueZone Access Server must be identical to the domain name specified in the ActiveX startup page URL.
♦  If your web server uses SSL, the default port is 443.
•  CGI virtual path
The BlueZone Access Server CGI group box (in the Sessions Properties | Connection | Advanced button window on the user side – the blue button) specifies the virtual path when the BlueZone Access Server Common Gateway Interface (CGI) is located. By default, this virtual path should be:
♦  BZFCGI_5250 for the 5250 service
♦  BZCGI_3270 for the 3270 service
♦  BZCGI_VT100 for the VT service
The name of the CGI must be one of the following six values depending on your emulation type (Ask your BlueZone Access Server administrator to decide which CGI to use):
♦  BZCGI_5250.DLL
♦  BZCGI_5250.EXE
♦  BZCGI_3270.DLL
♦  BZCGI_3270.EXE
♦  BZCGI_VT100.DLL
♦  BZCGI_VT100.EXE
HostFront
Since the ActiveX controls store their profiles on disk, Internet Explorer downloads the installation information at the same time as the ActiveX control the first time you connect to your HostFront Server.
When you launch a display or printer session through the ActiveX startup page, Internet Explorer retrieves the connection information from the HTML page and stores it in the ActiveX control profiles.
If you need to configure the ActiveX controls manually, you must obtain the following information from your HostFront Server administrator:
•  HTTP port number
The HostFront Server panel contains the HTTP port and the name of HostFront Server as listed in the ActiveX URL.
♦  The default port for a web Server is 80 although this value can change. The name of HostFront Server must be identical to the domain name specified in the ActiveX startup page URL.
♦  If your web server uses SSL, the default port is 443.
•  CGI virtual path
The HostFront Server CGI group box (in the Sessions Properties | Connection | Advanced button window on the user side – the blue button) specifies the virtual path when the HostFront Server Common Gateway Interface (CGI) is located. By default, this virtual path should be:
♦  HFFCGI_5250 for the 5250 service
♦  HFCGI_3270 for the 3270 service
♦  HFCGI_VT100 for the VT service
The name of the CGI must be one of the following four values depending on your emulation type (Ask your HostFront Server administrator to decide which CGI to use):
♦  HFCGI_5250.DLL
♦  HFCGI_5250.EXE
♦  HFCGI_3270.DLL
♦  HFCGI_3270.EXE
