General configuration rules and requirements
The following rules outline the basic configuration rules of Host Access Manager.
• |
Install the HostFront Server or BlueZone Access Server software on all the machines that will act as servers or cluster service
servers prior to configuring them. You cannot add a server or cluster service to a cluster definition without first installing
the software on your machines.
• |
Enter your license keys before configuring your cluster. You will only be able to create a host of the same emulation type
as the license key that you enter.
• |
The same license key cannot be used more than once, whether in one or more clusters. |
• |
Session definitions are related to hosts. Therefore, create your hosts before creating your sessions. |
• |
A session that is assigned to one group is still available to other groups. |
• |
Changes to the following parameters take effect only after restarting all services:
♦ |
Any IP address or computer name including the public name of a server |
♦ |
Enabling or disabling logging |
♦ |
Enabling or disabling data encryption |
♦ |
Enabling or disabling daily shutdown |
