Cluster services tab
In the Cluster services tab you can add, remove, and modify the cluster service entries in the cluster.
Server name
Lists the server name of the configured cluster services.
Description
Displays the cluster service’s description.
Add
To add a cluster service, click Add. The Add Cluster Services window opens.
1. In the IP address / name field, type the IP address (or DNS name) of the server on which the cluster service will run.
2. In the Description field, type a descriptive name to make it easier for you to remember the definition.
3. Click OK. HAM tries to communicate with the given server (using the IP address that you provided) instructing it to register itself with the cluster. If the operation succeeds, you will see the added cluster in the Cluster Services list of the Cluster Properties window after the Add Cluster Services window closes. If the operation fails, you need to check that:
•  The server software has been correctly installed on the target machine.
•  There is open communication between the target machine and the one running HAM (and not blocked by a firewall, for example).
•  The Sentinel service on the cluster service machine is started.
•  The target machine does not already belong to your cluster or to another cluster (as a cluster service machine).
Remove
To remove a cluster service, highlight the desired server name and click Remove.
Modify
To modify a cluster service, highlight the desired server name and click Modify. You can only change the description of the cluster service; you cannot change the address once it has been defined. To change the address, you must remove the existing entry and create a new cluster service.
Port
By default, the port is configured to 20000. Cluster services require this port to communicate between each other.
Session weights
Define the weight you want to give to each type of user session: Display, Printer, and File Transfer.
By default, the printer and file transfer sessions are configured with a weight of 3 and the display sessions have a weight of 1. This means that every printer or file transfer session is equivalent to 3 display sessions. The cluster services use these values to calculate the load that each server is handling in order to decide which one is least busy.
Notes
•  You must define at least one cluster service to define in the cluster.
•  When you have defined (or added) a machine as a cluster service in one cluster, this machine cannot be added to another cluster.
•  If you want to change the role of the machine, you must first remove it from its original cluster.
•  For changes to port number or session weights to take effect, you need to restart all cluster services.
