Power Pad Editor

Auto-loading ToolBar Icons

If you are creating a Power Pad that contains buttons which are mapped to standard BlueZone MenuBar items, you can choose to "auto load" the corresponding standard BlueZone ToolBar icon onto the Power Pad button.

This very powerful feature allows you to create a custom "floating" or docked BlueZone ToolBar that contains a combination of custom buttons with text and or custom images, along with standard BlueZone ToolBar icons.

Procedure:

  1. Create or edit an existing Power Pad that has at least one button.  Start with a fairly large button.  You can adjust the size smaller later.

  2. Bring up the button's Properties.

  3. Enable the Bitmap Button checkbox.  The "Label" editbox will change to "Image Filename" editbox.

  4. Leave the Image Filename editbox blank.  Do not browse to an image filename.

  5. Click the Action tab.

  6. In Emulation Type, change to your desired emulation type if necessary.

  7. In Action Type, choose Menu Hotkey.

  8. In Menu Commands, choose the desired menu command.

  9. Click the OK button.  The corresponding BlueZone ToolBar icon will be "auto-loaded" onto the Power Pad button.

  10. You can now adjust the size of the button to fit the image.

  11. Save the Power Pad.

NOTE  BlueZone supports four sizes of ToolBar icons, 16 x 16, 24 x 24, 32 x 32 and 48 x 48 pixels.  The current size of the BlueZone ToolBar will determine the size of the icon that will appear on the Power Pad button.

SEE  Using the Display Interface - View Properties, for additional information about setting the size of the ToolBar icons.
