How to Configure LIPI Host File Transfer

Procedure

  1. Launch a BlueZone iSeries Display session.

  2. From the BlueZone MenuBar, choose Transfer:Send/Receive.  The BlueZone Host File Transfer desktop user interface will launch.

  3. From the Host File Transfer MenuBar choose Transfer:Transfer Setup or, click the Transfer Setup icon located on the Host File Transfer Toolbar.

  4. The Transfer Setup dialog will be displayed.

The Transfer Setup dialog contains three tabs; Connection, Transfer, Local and Host.


Connection Tab

This is where you configure your connection settings.  Transfers can be configured for the host that you are currently connect to, or you can choose a different host.

NOTE  If you leave the Host Address field blank, BlueZone Host File Transfer will automatically use the current host connection.


Security

The Security Tab contains the security options.  This is where you can enable Secure Sockets Layer encryption.

Choose the desired encryption option.

Invalid Certificates ----

This section is used to control the behavior of invalid certificate handling.  Options are:

Certificate Tab

The Certificate Tab controls all aspects of certificates.  Certificates are optional.  You do not need to use a certificate in order to encrypt your data.  Certificates are used when it is important or required to prove the identity of the client.

NOTE  The following options are available only when Create File and Member is selected in File Creation above.


SQL Tab

SQL queries are used when downloading one or more files to your PC.  An SQL query allows you to select specific records, how they are sorted, and how they are grouped.  Press the "Options" button to connect to the server to retrieve the field information for each file selected.  You may enter the SQL query directly into the editbox or use the SQL Query Options dialog to create SQL queries.
